POJOBA lifts Professional Trophy
The Old Students of Pope John Senior High School (POJOBA) at Koforidua, were the overall winners at the recent inter-Professionals and Old Schools Games held the St. Thomas Aquinas School in Accra.
POJOBA won the football Trophy, Volleyball and Basketball, beating Catholic Professionals in the football and old students of Aquinas in the Volley ball and Basketball respectively at the final stages.Participating Professional bodies were Catholic Lawyers Guild, Catholic Health Professionals, Catholic Association of Media Practitioners, Catholic Accountants and Catholic Priests Association. |
Present at the games was Most Rev. Charles Palmer-Buckle, Archbishop of Accra, who commended the Catholic Professionals for organising the games to fraternize, calling on them to avail themselves always to the service of the Church. Also in attendance was Rev. Fr. Francis adoboli, Vicar general of Accra.
He later as a curtain raiser played table tennis with the Headmaster of St. Thomas Aquinas, Mr. James Asamoah-Dapaah.
Priests who participated in football, Volley and Basketball were Rev. Frs. Destiny Amenuvor, Aaron Agorsor, Emmanuel Salifu and Ebenezer Hanson.
