He urged them to be ready to accept responsibilities and be open minded.
As leaders of a devotional group, they should be servants of the people and move the National Sacred Heart of Jesus Enthronement Centre to a higher pedestal, he said.
He commended the out-gone executives led by Dame Kwofie for their sacrifices, time, energy, talents and resources and travelling to all parts of the country to promote the devotions to Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Divine Mercy.
Fr. Adoboli led the Priests and the congregation to consecrate the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The Mass was concelebrated by six Priests including Rev. Fr. Isaac Maunger, National Spiritual Director of the Enthronement Centre.
Togbe Srem I pledged to continue the exceptional leadership of his predecessors and asked for prayers and spiritual guidance from members.
He said the new leadership would focus on strengthening the Tarcisians (Young Apostles) to stand up for the truth as well as help members to understand more and appreciate the teachings of the Catholic Church and devotions.
He said another area the new executives would look at was the intensification of the Sacred Heart Devotions and enthronement of the Sacred Heart in homes.
In an Interview, Dame Kwofie expressed gratitude to the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference for directing and guiding the Enthronement Centre and for its support in the advancement and promoting of Sacred Heart devotions throughout the country.
She paid glowing tribute to late Archbishop Emeritus Dominic Kodwo Andoh of Accra for his support in establishing the Centre in Ghana and West Africa and thanked the Sacred Heart devotees for their steadfastness over the years.
She pledged the out-gone Executives’ support, many who are still in the new leadership, for the continuous growth of the Confraternity.
She called on the current executives to take the activities of the League of Tarcisians at heart and ensure are effectively organized as the youth wing of the adult confraternities.
Dame Kwofie said the Sacred Heart devotion had made a significant impact on Catholics in Ghana, noting that several Catholics who took the devotion seriously had testified as to the spiritual benefits they had received from it.
She said the outgone leadership organized successful National Congresses at Cape Coast in 2008, in Koforidua in 2011, and the 40th Anniversary at Koforidua in 2014; published six books of which five were devotional, including A Treasury of Catholic Devotions and Novenas (published in 2008) & the 2nd Edition with more chapters in 2009.
She said with the support of the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference, the Centre organized the Golden Jubilee Consecration of Ghana to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in November 2007 at the Immaculate Conception Parish, South Suntreso, Kumasi, (as the Catholic Church’s participation in the Ghana’s Independence Golden Jubilee Celebrations).
She said the Executives inaugurated the four Provincial Enthronement Centres in the four Ecclesiastical Provinces of the Church in Ghana to ensure effective co-ordination of the activities and programmes of Arch/Diocesan Enthronement Centres and their confraternities.
Dame Kwofie said the NSHJEC participated in the West African Association of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Executive meetings in Cotonu, Benin in 2006, in Lagos, Nigeria in 2008 and 2010.
